    O-1 Visa이란 무엇인가요?

    정의

The O-1 visa is a US nonimmigrant visa for individuals who possess extraordinary ability in their field — defined as the top of their occupation — in science, arts, education, business, or athletics.

The O-1A applies to individuals with extraordinary ability in science, education, business, or athletics; the O-1B applies to those in the arts or film/TV. Extraordinary ability is demonstrated through evidence of sustained national or international acclaim — awards, press coverage, high salary, critical roles in distinguished organizations, published work, or judging the work of others. Unlike the H-1B, the O-1 has no annual cap and no lottery. It is initially granted for up to 3 years and can be extended. The O-1 is often a path for startup founders, senior engineers, researchers, and artists who have built a track record but do not qualify for EB-1 permanent residence immediately.

    왜 중요한가

The O-1 is one of the most powerful visa options for high-achieving professionals in the US — but building a strong case requires strategic documentation of your achievements. Many people who qualify for O-1 status don't realize it. An immigration attorney specializing in O-1 petitions can assess your qualifications, identify gaps in your evidence, and build the strongest possible case.
